Categories
Organize your product catalog into browsable categories.
Categories help you organize products into logical groups so customers can browse your store more easily. A well-structured category tree also makes internal catalog management simpler as your product count grows.
Creating a Category
Open the Categories page
Navigate to Ecommerce > Products > Categories from the sidebar, then click Add Category.
Enter category details
Provide a Category Name and an optional Description. You can also upload a Category Image to represent the group in your store.

Set a parent category (optional)
To create a sub-category, select an existing category from the Parent Category dropdown. This builds a nested hierarchy.
Save
Click Save to create the category. It will immediately be available for product assignment.
Category Hierarchy
Replyn supports multi-level category trees. For example:
Clothing
├── Tops
│ ├── T-Shirts
│ └── Hoodies
└── Bottoms
├── Jeans
└── ShortsNested categories allow customers to drill down from broad groups to specific product types. There is no hard limit on nesting depth, but keeping the tree to two or three levels is recommended for usability.

Organizing Products into Categories
There are two ways to assign products to categories:
- From the product editor -- While creating or editing a product, select one or more categories from the Category dropdown on the product form.
- From the category page -- Open a category and use the Add Products action to assign existing products in bulk.
A single product can belong to multiple categories, which is useful when an item fits into more than one group.
Editing and Deleting Categories
- To edit a category, click on it in the categories list and update any fields.
- To delete a category, open it and click Delete. Products previously assigned to the deleted category will remain in your catalog but will no longer be associated with that group.
Deleting a parent category does not automatically delete its child categories. Children will be moved to the top level of the hierarchy.
